BT has revealed it will offer its BT Sport service free to any BT broadband customers – the first time in over 20 years that live Premier League matches will be free to watch.

The three channels – BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN – will feature 38 live Premier League games, including 18 ‘first pick’ matches. There will also be live games from other leagues around the world including Germany, France, Italy and Brazil – as well as FA Cup ties, the UEFA Europa League and Scottish Premier League, live Premiership rugby and WTA tennis.
The telecom giant has appointed some of the biggest names in sport – with a team of football experts offering opinion and analysis as part of its coverage. Double Champions League winners Owen Hargreaves and Steve McManaman will be joined by former England No1 goalkeeper David James MBE, all qualified to give the best insight to BT Sport viewers.
Des Kelly will present Life’s a Pitch from Monday to Thursday and Lynsey Hipgrave will present the WTA tennis and be part of the live football presentation team.
Ben Kay will join Lawrence Dallaglio, Austin Healey and Matt Dawson on the exclusive live rugby coverage.
